Research

Research is important for improving patient care and the outcomes from IVF.

Following is an overview of current research I am undertaking that you may be willing to participate in. To be involved or to simply find out further information please contact me.

Investigating causes of recurrent miscarriage and why IVF fails

This research is looking at the interplay between uterine cytokines and implantation. Cytokines are small proteins that play an important role in the process of implantation.

The aim is to analyse what affect factors such as hormone preparation of the uterus, maternal health, acupuncture and the cause of infertility have on the expression of these cytokines.

The results will help improve knowledge about the role of endometrial cytokines in implantation and what factors can be used to predict successful or unsuccessful implantation.

Participants who have experienced two or more unsuccessful cycles of IVF where 3 or more good embryos have been transferred will be considered. It will require an endometrial biopsy and blood test.

If you are interested in participating in this trial please contact me on 02 9425 1600 or email me.
