Dr Frank Quinn

Knowledgeable, Empathetic & Approachable

About

I’m Dr Frank Quinn, a leading fertility specialist and gynaecologist on Sydney’s north shore and northern beaches including the central coast.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve helped more than 5,000 couples have children. And I’d like to help you fulfil your wish to become a parent.

As an IVF Australia fertility specialist, and as clinical director of IVF Australia’s North Shore and Central Coast clinics, I’m proud to be supported by a team that delivers some of the world’s highest pregnancy rates.

Attentive clinical care

I understand that trying for a baby can be a sensitive time. My aim is to make your fertility journey as comfortable, safe and smooth as possible.

Having three children has taught me how special it is to start a family. So I’m here to gently guide and encourage you – and help you realistically weigh up all the possible options.

My patients tell their referring doctors and specialists they find my approach is reassuring and comforting, that I’m easy to talk to. I’ll be with you every step of the way, providing the support and expertise needed to find the best pathway for your situation.

Your knowledgeable fertility specialist

As a leading Sydney fertility specialist, I’m at the forefront of the latest advances in infertility diagnosis and treatment.

And as clinical director of IVF Australia’s North Shore and Central Coast clinics, I collaborate with other directors to find better ways to help you achieve your dream of having a baby. This involves improving best practice, reviewing processes and assessing treatments.

I’ve specialised in fertility and gynaecology for more than 20 years, and I’ve been an IVF Australia fertility specialist since 1998.

My experience includes:

  • Initial training in obstetrics and gynaecology at St George Hospital, Kogarah
  • Sub-speciality training for the Certificate of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI) at University College Hospital (UCH), London
  • Completing CREI training under my mentors Professor Doug Saunders and Ric Porter at the Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney
  • Six-month male infertility fellowship under Dr John Prior – the world’s leading male infertility specialist – at Lister Hospital, London

Associations and teaching

As an IVF Australia specialist, I can access the latest insights into fertility science – and I’m part of Australia’s largest collective group of fertility minds.

I’m also a member of the Fertility Society of Australia (FSA), and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG).

Currently, I’m conducting a research project at Macquarie University. This looks into the role of growth factors (cytokines in the uterus) and how they impact implantation failure. I hope to find other potential causes of implantation failure – such as uterus issues – so we can discover new and better treatments.

I also train undergraduates at the University of Sydney and University of Notre Dame.

It’s all part of my commitment to ongoing education. I’m determined to find new ways to treat complex cases, so more people can experience the joy of starting a family.
